By Car
- From the Tosu junction, take Oita Expressway, continue in the
direction of Kitakyushu city at Hiji unction, and take Hiji Bypass at Hayami
Interchange, and@exit onto Route 10 at Hiji Interchange.
Follow Route 10 for 2 minutes in the direction of Kitakyushu and Nakatsu cities. (total travel time: about 80 minutes) - From Kokura Interchange, exit onto Route 10. Continue through the toll bypass. (total travel time: about 2 hours)
- From Oita Airport, take a taxi along the Airport Toll Road. (total travel time: about 25 minutes)
By Train
- From Kokura Station, take the JR Nipou Main Line in the direction
of Oita,and get off at Kitsuki Station (travel time: about 70 minutes).
Take a bus or taxi from the station (another 10 minutes). - From Oita Station, take the JR Nipou Main Line in the direction
of Beppu, pass Beppu Station, and get off at Hiji Station (travel time: about
30 minutes).
